Hair Plug Removal Techniques - Linear Excision

The exception method chosen by a hairdressing surgeon to remove the donor hair is an important step in the hair transplantation process. This is especially true when the surgeon is repairing the poor hair transplant that the patient has previously received. The extractor method will determine the number of hair follicles that can be preserved for transplantation, as well as the size and shape of the scar that will be left behind.

Removing a Plug / Graft for Future Hair Transplant (Re-Implantation) -

Removal of the craft using long elliptical excavations is useful in a number of different situations: 1) When the craft is closely packed in a linear arrangement; 2) When the handicraft is very large and compact; 3) When the graphs are to be removed completely; 4) When it is mandatory that the patient have the repair phase completed as soon as possible.

Because the better hair follicle results in a single linear incision rather than a small one, a linear incision should also be considered when the patient's donor reserve is depleted. In addition to hair retention, linear exclusion is useful in patients with low reserves because it is the most effective and fastest way to redistribute densities in large areas.

Eliminating multiple motions with one long curvilinear separation does not always produce a positive cosmetic result as it removes the individual graph by puncture. Excessive contraction of the curved scalp can result in a slight elevation of the wound (usually a convex edge). This tendency can be compounded by the fact that the two ends of the incision should be slightly angled to match the angles of the hair, causing the other wing to rise slightly above the other during wound healing.

If the hair plug has been moved too low to the forehead, the upper edge may consist of a thinner bald scalp and more under-skin, exposed skin, making the resistance and alignment of both ends more problematic. Various small incisions of punch thickening can often prevent this problem, and they heal more consistently with non-detectable scars. However, the use of blows must be offset by the fact that they require more sessions and are less efficient at eliminating all abnormal graphs as a linear exception. Although it is boring, it is usually best to get rid of every bribe individually, as it avoids scars and results in a more natural hair transplant procedure.

Linear excisions are often covered with a single layer of disturbed stitching or running provided that the stitches bite extend the full thickness of the dermis to ensure good wound selection. A limited number of buried and disturbed stitches may be useful if: 1) the exception is very long or curved; 2) the opposing side of the wound is of an uneven thickness or is inclined to reverse; 3) If there is any strain on the wound.

Due to the long and thin defects of the easy removal of the plugs, it is rarely recommended. However, if there is tension or an area where the dermis is attached to the old printing, conservative weaken should be done. 4-0 or 5-0 Vicryl disturbed gloves are recommended for deep dermal coating and surface closure with 5-0 Nylon or Poliglecaprone 25. The slipped, disturbed skin gloves seem to heal evenly, as long as they are removed within 1 week .

Hair Graft Removal / Plug Alone (No Re-Implantation) -

When the underlying scalp is relatively normal in appearance and there is not enough hair in the abnormal grafting implant re-implants to have a significant effect on the overall results, hair removal may be indicated. This is usually the case when very small graphs are moved too low on the hairline, too far ahead in temples, or in the wrong direction. In these cases, the underlying skin may be normal and expulsion of the handicap will not only result in scar, but a very small punch used may release some of the follicles, causing hair regrowth. In this situation whether electrolysis or laser hair removal should be considered.

Hair removal without re-implantation is sometimes the patient's choice when the patient does not want to move forward hair transplant and, instead, choose to reverse the whole process. The decision to remove hair in destructive ways such as laser or electrolysis must be balanced with the advantage of using a blow that can save hair. This is an important decision: even small amounts of hair recovered from the plug can have significant cosmetic effects if transferred to an open donor scar. This can cause people who want to reduce their hair transplant, wear their hair shorter when the repair is done.
