Lupus and Its Many Forms

As knowledge has always been a key proponent of progress, my hope is that this brief line on each of the more widespread forms of Lupus will help simple people like us understand this mysterious disease.

In short, Lupus is generally defined as a breakdown of the immune system in which the body literally literally destroys itself, destroying its own healthy cells and tissues. The immune system produces harmful antibodies that cause inflammation and damage to tissues of the skin, joints, blood vessels, kidneys, lungs, heart, and brain.

Lupus can take several forms. To better understand the disease, let's highlight some of them:

• 
  Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE is a more common form of lupus. Usually this person's face refers to when they say they have lupus. It is a type of lupus that can affect many parts of the body. These symptoms can vary from mild to acute and are usually characterized by fatigue, pain and swelling in the joints, fever, skin rash, hair loss, chest pain, seizures, mouth and nose, heart disease, kidney problems.   Discoid Lupus Erythematosus is a form of lupus and is identified by the appearance of red rash on the face, scalp, or in a different place. A small number of people with discoid lupus may develop SLE or have SLE in addition to.


• As the word itself says, Drug overdose is a form of lupus brought about by the use of certain drugs. This form shows symptoms similar to SLE (skin rash, fever, arthritis, chest pain). Symptoms naturally diminish when the drug is stopped.

  Neonatal Lupus develops in newborn women who have SLE or some form of immune system. It is a very rare form of Lupus and not all mothers with SLE will give birth to a baby with neonatal lupus. These signs of lupus appear when the baby has a skin rash, liver abnormality, or low blood pressure at birth. This abnormality completely stopped for several months, as a result of these babies may have serious heart defects. Modern scientific technology has enabled early detection of the most at-risk mothers for babies with these disorders, thus ensuring early treatment for infants at birth or even earlier.
